For me, everything in life is about relationships; relationships with the world around us, our clients, partners, co-workers, colleagues, leadership, boards, friends, family and not the least the relationship with ourselves. The more we understand about ourselves the more we can understand others around us, and that way we can make a better contribution to the development of our business, our co-workers and ourselves and in doing so also contributing to the development of our world. It was for this reason; the opportunity to contribute to the positive development of people and businesses, that I contacted Scandinavian Leadership.
I grew up in Kungälv just outside Gothenburg, Sweden and graduated with a Master in Business Administration from the school of economics in Gothenburg. I also studied international marketing at IHM. After my studies I made one of the best decisions of my life; I decided to explore and travel around the world. For six months two of my girlfriends and I traveled the world and when we returned home we brought with us fantastic experiences and a humbled attitude toward life. Also we felt a wonderful sense of affinity that stretched beyond the borders of our own country. Then it was time for me to take the step into working life. After spending one year as a trainee at Mölnlycke Sytråd AB; learning everything from manufacturing to sales, I started to work as a production manager and export salesman. After that, things developed quickly. For the last 20 years I have had the privilege of working in many different positions, including my latest as business manager and corporate manager within the Hogia-group, CEO of a watch wholesales company, marketing and sales manager and HR-manager. I have worked in production companies as well as IT, educational, wholesale and retailing companies.
Regardless of my position or which company I represent I always put clients first and in many of my positions I have worked hard to change business from being product oriented to being client/customer oriented. These “journeys” have been enormously exciting and instructive. The experience of working with extensive structure change; in rapidly growing companies as well as companies mainly focusing on profitability, and working with business development, partnership and organization development has given me many insights. I have personally seen how important the three components Meaning, Joy and Financial success are in being able to pursue long term, healthy business.
