I began my working life at Sandvik Coromant for one year in the 1960s. After an instructive period in the Swedish Navy, I studied Business Administration and Sociology at Uppsala University. I went on to work for Beckers in Stockholm and at the same time I began to develop the process that came to be Lots
®. I worked in different positions within the Pharmacia group and led Pharmacia's strategic planning group. Later, as President of Pharmacia's Ophthalmics division, we built this business area which revolutionized eye surgery in the world with "the Rooster Comb" project and the product Healon
® in the 1980s.
I left the management team for the Pharmacia group in 1985 and decided to work full-time with my own company which is today Scandinavian Leadership. After ten years and many satisfied customers in many countries, I felt that I wanted to spend more time for development and learning. Lots
® was sold to Öhrlings PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Subsequently, desiring to use my business experience I invested in and became a part owner of several companies.
The realization came that the next step in the development of my understanding of leadership was to deepen my knowledge of psychology by taking a three year course at the Psycho- synthesis Academy in Stockholm. I felt that I needed to understand myself and the art of leadership even better. The synthesis of my professional life so far is now two trade marks, Lots
® for business development and development of the team and Mindo
® for individual development of leaders and co-workers. My experiences and my approach are presented in the book ""Reflect - Meaning, Joy and Financial Success" which I have written together with my co-authors Noga Meiri and Joanne Pirie.
