By administering their pension disbursements PRI (The Swedish Pension Registration Institute) helps some 1350 Swedish companies gain access to capital for business investments. 575,000 clients receive their pension through PRI.

The pension disbursements are worth some 105 billion Swedish kronor and are administered by the 21 co-workers at PRI and around 80 outside agents.

During a three day period the people of PRI applied Lots^® in business planning. They were led by Niclas Kristiansson from the Lots Company. Jan Ahlström, the new CEO of PRI said: “I felt that working with Lots^® would be perfect for me in order to get to know my co-workers and the business. The force of habit is strong within any organization “this is how we’ve always done things”, but Lots^® provides a structured way of asking questions you can’t avoid.”

PRI faces new challenges. The new ITP-plan (an agreement beween the union and the businesses regarding the Industry’s extra pensions) means substantial long term changes. Jan Ahlström: “The new ITP-plan could be perceived as a threat to some in the organization, but we chose to see it as an opportunity to extend our service and sit down together to analyze current and future possibilities of renewal. Our three days together were three very good days because every co-worker was part of creating the new business plan. It’s a good feeling to stand together as an organization.”
